WEBQUEST (TEACHERS)
What is a WebQuest?
To gain a good understanding on what a WebQuest is and the main functions of them, please watch the video below.
The WebQuest I have designed should be delivered to a beginner class. If this is the classes initial exposure to WebQuests, you as their teacher can guide them through the process by asking them a series of instruction checking questions and concept checking questions. If the class have completed WebQuests before, they can be paired up and be given the task. The student's section for the WebQuest can be found by clicking the button below.
Note: Students will need access to computers.

The information below relates to some general points concerning WebQuests, as well as contains details relating to the WebQuest that I have created, such as the evaluation section.
Introduction
This is the first and most important part of the WebQuest because what you write in here sets the scene of the activity. So, this section is mainly to attract your students to the activity. Therefore, it is important to choose an activity, which students will enjoy. This is the area where the main question is communicated. WebQuests allow more interaction between learners and increases learner autonomy.
The WebQuest I have designed relates to famous people, which are relevant and recent, so most students should be familiar.
Task
The task section describes what the learners will do and explains to learners what the end result of the WebQuest will be.
Process
This section states a step by step process for the learners to achieve their aim.
Evaluation
This sections provides clarity on how the teacher will grade the students. In this case, for the WebQuest I have made, the table below shows the marking criteria.
